Cops For Cancer 2021 Campaign

 Reynolds families,

Since 2005, Reynolds School has taken great pride in participating in the Cops for Cancer campaign.  Over these years, we have raised over $905,000 and the “Drive for a Million” is in its third year.

The purpose of our participation in this campaign is to find treatments and eventually a cure for cancer, and to send kids with cancer to Camp Goodtimes.  Of course, a wonderful side benefit is that by doing this we maintain the healthy, caring, and positive culture at Reynolds.  It’s about kids helping kids…it’s about adults helping kids helping kids.  It’s about MAKING A REAL DIFFERENCE.

When:  September 17 – October 1

We encourage student-generated fundraisers throughout the campaign. Past student initiated activities include garage sales, bottle drives, fruit stands, mowing lawns for donations, getting a car donated for people to “smash” with a sledgehammer, t-shirt design and sales, bake sales (which we can do this year as long as all items are individually packaged), and more.  The bottom line is that when our students are able to contribute in a meaningful way, they feel more ownership over the campaign and take more pride in our accomplishments.  We want everyone to be able to help…so get involved, join the online team, and fundraise.

Some things we will do:

        -Friday, Sept. 17

-Virtual Cops for Cancer Kick off assembly.  We ask that students bring some money (suggested donation is $2-$5) and “Chuck it in the Bucket” as a way to kick start our fundraising.  If every staff member and student brought $2 we would have about $2500 on the first day of our campaign!
