Welcome to the 2023/2024 school year!! Reynolds Secondary offers the opportunity for students to participate in sports in the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons. Junior teams consist of Grade 9s and 10s and Senior teams consist of Grade 11s and 12s. Please listen for announcements for upcoming meetings and tryouts in the first 2 weeks of the school year.

Highlights from Fall and Winter Seasons:

• The Junior Boys Soccer team won the Island Championships in Campbell River on October 31.

• The Senior Boys Soccer team won the Colonist Cup (City Championships) over Oak Bay at UVic Stadium on November 2nd. This win marks a huge accomplishment, as it is the 5^th Colonist Cup win in a row for Reynolds.

• The Senior Girls Cross Country team came 2^nd at Provincials on November 4^th in Crescent Park, Surrey. The team consisted of Kathrin Ritter, Julia Malony, Skyler Lubben, Saige Parfitt, Beatrice Pederzani, Bella Graves and Anna Laura Berni Canini. Great run, team!

• The Senior Girls and Boys Volleyball teams are beginning Lower Island Championships this week in Victoria.
• The Swimming team will head to Provincials on Nov 17, 18 in Nanaimo. Please cheer on these swimmers: Andreas Arena, Skyler Lubben, Reese Lubben, Cienna Vu, Camille Astridge, Kayleigh Goodine, and June Adler.
• 
• Sr. Boys Volleyball place 2nd at Islands!!!  Off to Provincials next!!

Reynolds Swim Team – 5 of 7 of our swimmers qualified for the Championship Finals with the following results:

Andrea Arena: 100m Free ⇢ 4th overall,  100m Fly ⇢ 5th overall,   50m Free ⇢ 7th overall

Reese Lubben:  50m Free ⇢15th overall, 100m Free ⇢ 13th overall, 100m IM ⇢ 13th overall

Skyler Lubben:  100m IM ⇢ 12th overall

Camille Astridge, Cienna Vu, Skyler Lubben, Reese Lubben: 400m Free Relay ⇢ 13th overall.
