COPS FOR CANCER

Every September Reynolds students and staff launch a 2 week  campaign to raise funds for Cops for Cancer.  In the last 12 years, we have raised close to $725,000.

POETRY SLAMS – OPEN MIC

Slams are a regular event on the Reynolds School Calendar.  Open Mics encourage students to share their poetry and a Reynolds team went to the provincial poetry slam championships this year.  Check out www.youtube.com/ReynoldsSlamPoetry to see them in action.

MUSICAL THEATRE PRESENTATION

Our annual Musical Theatre production is usually performed in early March.   Students from all grades make up the cast and crew.

COURTYARD GARDEN

We have a magnificent inner courtyard  in which we grow fruit and vegetables for our salad bar program.   Classes use this space to learn about horticulture and the environment under the direction of an onsite gardener.   When  lunchtime concerts or performances are not being held, this is a tranquil spot for students and staff to gather.

Congratulations to our school salad bar/courtyard team, led by Heather Coey, who were the recipients of the Farm to School “Pollinator Award”. The award winner exemplifies the four Farm to School pillars: healthy, local food in the bellies of students; hands-on experiential learning in the garden, kitchen or community; school and community connectedness; and supporting sustainable regional food systems.

ATHLETICS

We have approximately 30 athletic teams including curling, sailing and snowboarding.    Students who are passionate about any sport are welcome to form a team as long as they have a teacher’s support.
