HISTORY OF REYNOLDS

The Reynolds site was used as farmland for more than one hundred years.  In 1960, the present property was acquired by the School District and the doors of Reynolds Secondary School opened in September of 1967.  Starting out as a junior secondary, senior grades were added in 1969 and 1970.  Reynolds currently offers Grades 9-12.

“I hope that we have made some progress toward making school a place where teachers like to teach and students want to learn and in which an atmosphere of friendly cooperation exists.  True learning comes from within and cannot be imposed from without.

I am looking forward to the future when we can try out more new ideas and experiment with new procedures.  Times are changing.  The task of the school is to keep up with progress and to make education relevant to today’s world.”
